Why are you doing this?

  • I want to make a difference

  • I want to have input

  • When your kids or grandkids ask you: “What did you do?”, what will you say?

  • I’m not willing to let others decide what the world will be like.

  • All the things my grandparents worked to preserve for the future are being eroded.  I want to preserve what’s left for my kids.

  • George Bush recruited me to the Democrats.  I’m so unhappy with them that instead of just complaining, I looked for ways to do something about it.

  • Communication is an art.  It helps us get our message out, to get people’s interest.  We are competing for peoples’ time.

  • In 1984, I became interested and participated with the Gary Hart campaign.  The people you meet in that processwill be friends for life.  At the local level you don’t get the kind of people who are in politics for the game – but those who are in it for the real reasons.

  • I wanted to find ways of getting people involved.

  • I'm not in it so much for what it offered, but what it could offer.

  • I want what we put out to be a reliable source of real information.  Move-on.org and that kind of organization are playing holier than thou – and that’s the wrong approach.

  • What are the goals you have for your children?

  • Social conservatism.

  • Communicating with others about the Democratic issues and message.  We need the talking points.  What are our issues, and what are we trying to do about it?
